[RE-wrenches] High Temp Batteries

One of our customers had this problem in outdoor lighting in Las Vegas. He switched to Lithium-Ion batteries from K2 in Henderson NV and says they have been working well for 3 years in desert heat.  They make small 12 volt packs with built-in charge control and discharge protection.  They may be a good choice if the system is under 100 amp hours.

Dear Wrenches:

I have people trying to power medical equipment in an extremely hot environment--they need batteries that can withstand temps of 75 degrees Celcius.

The Yuasa batteries they've been using are only rated to 50C and don't last long (and thus, are cost-prohibitive to use and replace).

The MK AGMs are also only rated to 50C.  Any ideas or alternatives would be appreciated.
