Paul -

Is it UL listed?

Is it approved for direct sunlight?

Is it NEC approved?

Fiberglass has not had a good reputation in direct sunlight in my
experience.

I am curious mostly as to its approvals.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] FRE Composites instead of rigid conduit

Esteemed RE-Wrenches:

Have any of you had experience with using fiberglass reinforced epoxy
conduit manufactured by FRE Composites (Quebec, Canada) instead of rigid
conduit on the roof? I am concerned about the manufacturer's claim that the
FRE conduit UV resistance is adequate for rooftop PV installations here in
Massachusetts.

Thanks,

Paul Lyons, P.E.
