Hi Larry,

Lorentz offers an aeration pump based on their Boost pump system. I will
send you specs off-list. We usually, however trend towards the Lorentz
floating fountain pump for aeration-quite effective and efficient!

Best regards,

I do not remember every doing one, but I have been asked several times. I
assume you want the maximum oxygen for the minimum energy? or do you want
the pond to have some circulation to prevent freezing?

I would think just pumping air to the bottom would be a low return, prehaps
spraying the water in to the air through small nozzels? or circulating
surface water down to the bottom? a skimmer and then a circulae pump? I
wlll ask a friend who is in water conservation and relay.

keetonaquatics.com <http://keetonaquatics.com/> is perhaps the place Dana
Orzel was remembering. They may only want to sell complete bundles with PV &
all, however.

Larry - Google search for pond aeration equipment. I cannot
recall but Denver, CO or somewhere slightly north of there.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] PV solar powered pond aeration
compressor

Greetings Wrenches,

I am looking for a DC motor, oil-less, continuos duty air
compressor
to use for a pond aeration system. Higher voltage DC
preferred for
direct PV module power. I'm not sure how to calculate the
pressure and
volume needed but a similar 120vac pump draws about 1200
watts and
delivers about 9 CFM. I assume that the same wattage DC
motor would
mean comparable air supply. Any experiences out there?

Thanks,
