We had been the suppliers of The Sun Delight Pump for years but we
discontinued it about a year ago, in favor of the longer life Oase German
Pumps. We are the North American Importer of the Oase DC Pumps, contact me
off list for pricing or call 888-826-0939

Kind regards

Tom

Subject: Re: [RE-wrenches] Solar fountain pump.

Hi all,
We have a pond with rockery and small cascade (< 5-ft total head) with a
solar-direct pump for demonstration at our office. The Dankoff "Sun Delight"
pump that's been running it for a year (plus at shows for the last 8 years)
has given out and needs to be replaced. We tried a 12-V bilge pump but that
lasted about a month.
In previous subject threads (example below) back in '04 there were several
recommendations for the Oase AquaSolar pumps, said to be carried by AEE and
others. However, I can't find these pumps in the AEE catelog, or even on the
Oase website.

We ran the Sun Delight on a 75-watt, 12-volt module, but I'd like to upgrade
to a freight damaged, Sharp 175W (24 vdc) to allow the cascade to flow more
in low sun conditions.

Any current suggestions, or sources?

Thanks,
-Kelly

Eric makes larger solar fountain pumps for large water features but the
Oase pumps are perfect for small fountains. We've had one running since '98
with 0 problems. AEE has been selling them for years.

 Hi,
Now with a retail store attached to our installing business, we are
getting lots of requests for stuff of which we have little direct
knowledge. The
request of the month is for a small submersible pump which can run
directly off
a PV panel and make a small fountain. We saw one demonstrated at MWREF
but
failed to get info on it. Anyone had good results from a particular
pump...
longevity, etc. It seems that a lot of people here in Vermont have small
ponds
on their properties but no moving water.
  Any suggestions would be helpful.
  John
