[RE-wrenches] Metalurgical grade Si?

We are considering some modules that use "solar grade Si" (a nice
re-branding of the cheaper metallurgical grade Si).  I have heard some
claims of more rapid panel degradation? Wondering if any of you all have
already been down this path and come to any conclusions?
