I would recommend the Morningstar controller. There is a model (I don't
have the catalog here) with a good timer, and LVD and good environmental
controls, and electronic circuit protection.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Charge controller recommendation

Hello Wrenches,
I have an 12-volt, 1.2-amp outdoor light that I want to power with PV and a
gel cell battery. What approx. 5 amp charge controller do you recommend? It
would be nice to also have a low-voltage cut-out and a timer. Thanks in
advance for your help.
Best regards,
Joel Davidson
