Sanyo will listen to constructive criticism .They learned their lesson the hard way a few years ago.

  August,

A very annoying aspect of this manufacturer's brochure is that the cute bar graph has a fairly large error. What the heck does "Daily Average Power Generation" mean. I think they mean energy. Just a nit-picky pet peeve of mine that we see too often in the energy world.

The data on this chart is based on 3, hand-picked days from May 22 to June 21, 2007. What's up with that? So, the basic story being told by this very misleading bar graph is that if you have the same (obviously ideal) days that they picked (it took them a dang month to get 3 good days-ok so Japan's solar resource sucks), then you might get better performance.

Bottom line, use them because their pretty and Sanyo is a good company, not because you believe their misleading advertising.

BTW Holt, you need to mount your modules 10 feet off your white roof to get the 10% chance on improvement during 10% of the year.

Is there any wonder why our industry has problems with misleading advertising and overselling the benefits of a technology that is already one of the most amazing inventions in the history of the world.

  Bill.

  Holt -

I don't have data (yet) on systems we've installed but the Sanyo brochure has a rough chart on the second page which might be worth looking at if you haven't already:

Are there any real world numbers on percentages of wattage increase due to reflectance on the backside of Sanyo Bi-facial modules? Specifically - a 6/12 white metal roof @185dg. - horizon to horizon window. Have potential application for 200kw+ array. Would like to have more than a "we think" number in the proposal.
