[RE-wrenches] Back feeding battery inverter with grid-tie inverter

This is not a good combination of equipment choices. If you want a  
safe and reliable installation it is good practice to use equipment  
as it is intended to be used. You should not back feed an Xantrex XW  
through the output side. The easiest way to go is use a Sunny Island  
with the batteries in the garage instead of the XW. However if you  
already have the XW in place then I would suggest using the Apollo  
T80HV charge control as suggested by Daryl . It has a max of 200 VOC  
at 80 amps . Why make it more complicated than it needs to be ?
