[RE-wrenches] poly v. tripolymer

I've got a tar-and-gravel asphalt roof and will be attaching stand-offs for
my mounting rails.
 
I'm trying to decide between a good ole polyurethane and a tripolymer (like
Geocel).
 
Any leanings one way or the other?
