Wrenches,

Like a few other of the most progressive states in terms of renewables, New
Mexico has an involved state government. Ryan Helton of our state's Energy
Conservation and Management Division (handles RE) sent this request out
today. I'm forwarding it to the list because it seems to be a perfect
question to be answered by Wrenches in other states. I'll forward any
responses - thanks!

Hello all,

I am in the process of conducting some research dealing with states that
have provided a "property tax exemption" for renewable systems. I am curious
to know if any of you have come across the topic of a homeowner's property
value increasing due to the installation of a solar system. Or, if there has
been a situation where the homeowner failed to install a system due to their
concern of their property taxes increasing.

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you.
