[RE-wrenches] Posting questions...

It seems to me that this list is a great resource, for uber-experienced &
those that still have questions.

I would think the last thing we would want to do is discourage any person
qualified to be on this list from soliciting advice from the knowledge on
this list. What better place to have questions of any level tossed out for a
sounding board. Would the industry be better served by having installers
not ask questions & perform tasks in a questionable fashion?

I know I have some questions that I have held from asking on this list for
fear of appearing too 'inexperienced' to the elders here. Perhaps someone
can suggest another appropriate forum where members can post without concern
about stature or ridicule?

A degree of knowledge/experience is necessary to be allowed to post here. If
everyone has the same level of knowledge where some questions are perceived
to be below that threshold, should those less fortunate be excluded? Three
strikes & you are out?

As there is ongoing discussion of an installers group being formed, will
this forum continue to be a place for feedback on all questions, or only for
a select few, or will the group have some to-be determined level of
skill/knowledge that must be proven to join?

Am I off base in thinking that this forum is for 'working questions' from
all levels of experience?
