[RE-wrenches] Installer Contracts

Hi Jeff,

I suggest that the wrenches review the contract terms first. It would be good to have 3 contract terms sections (general, solar thermal specific, PV specific) and an addendum for specific state and local terms.

Several months ago I indicated I was updating our pv installation and system sales contract and planned to add some terms that recent experience taught me that I needed. At that time I asked for copies of contracts or a list of contract terms from other installers on this list to review, and indicated I would share these suggested contract terms with anyone interested (off-list) as a Word Document. I have agreed to keep confidential any information that you do not want made public.

I have received stacks of replies from many of you including copies of actual contracts, and some sad stories about why you added a specific contract term. I am near the end of this writing project and wanted to see if there are any others that would like to share what they have for contract terms and why. I hope to finish this up by year end, but am not sure if the final contract terms should be sent in private to everyone on the list, or made public by a possible article in the new Solar-Pro. Any suggestions or final submissions? jryago at netscape.com

  Thanks,

  Jeff Yago
