B Brooks suggests, NO less then 3" of air under the array. We usually use 4" stand offs making the top of the module ~ 6"s.

A month or so ago I saw a chart graphing the impact of space between 

panels and roof relative to heat.



Did anybody else see it or know where it might be.  It was in a magazine 

, maybe Solar Today, Home Power or Alternative Energy - or maybe 

something else.
