tax credit for upgrade? [RE-wrenches]

It is my understanding that the tax credit only applies to new equipment, 
for example, you have a 3 kW PV system and add 3 more kW of modules with or 
without another inverter. Repairs that require replacement of old equipment 
with new equipment may be eligible, but (standard caveat) ask your 
accountant.
