Depends.  If using an ElectriCalc, you enter the one-way distance and it
figures it out for you.  If using a reference sheet such as Windy's old
Universal Wire Sizing Chart (copy attached with a tip 'o the hat to
Michael W), you follow what the sheet says (one way distance for this
particular version).  If working from NEC Table 8 then you use round
trip distance for non-3 phase, but David B's sent a much better answer
on that so I'll not repeat.

I feel kinda foolish in asking this.....but when calculating voltage
drop in a conductor over distance, do I use the one-way or round-trip
distance?
