[RE-wrenches] Power-Save and Power Works

They must have targeted the wrenches list with that ad?
I tried something similar( I think) on a refrigerator. I plugged it  
into Watts Up meter, and didn't see any change in the run watts or  
surge watts.
If it was that easy, wouldn't Manufacturers use it to improve their  
SEER ratings?
