Airplane con trails and irradiance [RE-wrenches]

Hi Todd
Those trials up in NorCal are from the trans-pacific flights.   
Depending on the winds, they go over the coast or more inland ( great  
circle route) on their way to the far east.
And although they do pollute the air, the trails are mostly water  
vapor ( ie clouds).
And yes the cloud cover dropped substantially after 911 when then  
shut down  air travel.
Chem trails?  No, Con-trails  ( condensation trails) yes.
