I believe a company called Gaia makes a UL listed charge controller that can handle around 250v dc input.

Speaking of "off-grid" and Sanyo's does anyone know if there are any charge
controllers on the horizon that can deal with two Sanyo's in series?

Ray,
High efficiency, consistent quality. The heat/warranty issue doesn't affect
you. We could market them to our advantage as a premium product; the higher
efficiency could produce a competitive job at a higher module cost per watt.

My answer is short 'cuz I'm the off-grid guy now, so while we have installed
many, I haven't; this is from the others here.
