Installing a renewable energy power system for a customer without
including an entire-system, net (both total power made and used)
metering system is like selling a car or boat or airplane with no gas
gauge.

And if the installer can lock out any changes to the meter's data
acquisition of absolute minimum values (SOC and time, battery voltage
and time, etc.) with a password, so much the better! "Umm, you say
you've always kept the battery bank charged, but I show you were at 11.2
volts for the last 7 months?"
