Dear Wrenches,
I am planning a fairly large ground mounted system using Iron Ridge's LAFT mounting system. The product is similar to a top of pole mount except the structure mounts on a pair of two poles, and can hold 250 to 300 sq feet of modules depending on the module. Product info available at http://ironridge.com/products/largeareaarrays/
My question is this: would you recommend blowing a few holes through the bottom of the pole (4" galv) and running a piece of rebar or a bolt as a pin through the pole to prevent it from spinning or twisting in the concrete foundation, as is typical for single pole mounted arrays?
Any advice is appreciated.
