Grundfos submersible pump compliance with NEC [RE-wrenches]

Wrenches:

I think we have run up against an impassible roadblock.

Our Washington State AHJ is looking for a UL listing for a Grundfos 6 SQF-2
pump with the CU200 controller before he will sign-off on his inspection.
This is a stand-alone pumping system for stock watering at least one mile
(if not closer to 2 miles) from the nearest power line, let alone the
nearest dwelling. It is, however, not a low-voltage, exempt system. Any
information we have indicates that this pump and controller have CE listings
(but not UL). The inspector will not accept a CE listing. [I gather this
is not an unusual stance regarding a CE listing.] I believe we are able to
address the other issues (some seem to be non-issues, but he has the last
word) he has identified in his inspection, but this one has us stumped.

Grundfos USA has called the home office in Denmark about this issue, but I
do not think they will be able to help with this Washington State code
compliance issue.

Suggested alternatives, please. Pull the pump and controller and replace
with a UL-listed set-up which would be XXXXXX model pump and controller?
[$$$$$$$$$ and what do we do with the Grundfos pump and controller?] Of
course, we have a short turn-around time in which to “remedy” these issues,
so any creative, (but legal) solutions you can offer will be greatly
appreciated.
