Marco,

The CA. Energy Commision no longer provides finacial support to residential
retrofit projects. This is now handled thru the California Solar
Initialtive, as administered by the various utilites in the region.

A couple things come up. Were subsidies provided to the original grid-tie
system under the CEC program?

Under the old CEC program, if you added capacity they would aggregate the
old and new capacity and recalulate the rebate using the new rebate rate. I
believe this applies under the CSI but haven't checked the fine print. If
you do this, you may end up with a net loss depending on the size and rebate
rate applied to the old system.

If you didn't get a rebate for th original system, then you should be able
to get a rebate thru the CSI for the new capacity added.

I really can't speak with authority on the details, but can say that you
should contact the electric utility serving your customer and ask them
directly.

To my California brethren and sisteren,

Does the CA. Energy Commission offer any financial support to those
homeowners who have already installed a grid-tie system and want to add more
PV capacity to their system?

Thanks and best wishes for a great 2008,
marco
