Let's assume for now that no new legislation comes out of the Congress
this year. That would leave the December 2006 extension as the
controlling law.
The extension was for residential and commercial to the end of 2008.
Nothing I have found on the extension (limited search) indicates that
the $2,000 cap on the 30% residential credit was also extended thru
2008.
My first guess is that the cap applies through 2008, but........
