Battery price increases [RE-wrenches]

We deal with the same factory warehouse as Jeff Yago. Luckily , I realize 
from some of y'all's tales, only about 5 miles away from the office. We just 
last week traded in 24 , 9 year old Deka East Penn L-16's from a Y2K backup 
system without net metering [ Trace 4048 Power Panel ] for a much smaller 
8A8D AGM bank to go with the new Xantrex XW 6 kw inverter,a 100% increase in 
PV to 4.8 KW with the existing Kohler 6.5 KW genny for backup, and net 
metering.
Checked around regarding recycling the old L-16's and found by far the best 
move was returning to the East Penn warehouse . Current price is $13.75 ea.
East Penn's manufacturing facility incorporates virtually 100% recycle.

With the current crop of battery based with gen support , net-metering 
inverters, perhaps we can put more resources into enlarged PV arrays and 
less into batteries.
