OutBack Surge Protector & UL [RE-wrenches]

I just got an updated price sheet from a distributor that insists all
OutBack gridtie inverters must be purchased with the new OutBack Surge
Protector as a requirement of the new (May 07) UL code. There's nothing on
the OutBack site or in the forums to this effect, just a happy announcement
that the product is available.

What's the deal?
