Allan,
I'm certain the "quick release connector" relates to enabling the lifting of
modules to allow for cutting a hole for smoke ventilation and/or rescuing a
person trapped inside a room surrounded by fire.
Apparently there will be a meeting involving the California State Fire
Marshal on August 17th, but I'm unsure if this is an effort to relax the LA
guidelines or to determine a state wide policy.

Could the "quick-release connector" be referring to the MC cables, rather
than to the module mounting? I could certainly read it that way.
