source for 10-32 stainless screws? [RE-wrenches]

Gentlemen,

I don’t think a 10-32 screw only is sufficient to hold a lay-in lug onto a
solar module. It requires a nut and bolt. It is common to see these screws
pulled out of module frames with a big 6AWG lug connected to them. There is
simply not enough strength in the aluminum to hold the lug (it is also not
approved by many manufacturers).

Take a look at the new WEEB lug. It is a little more expensive than the
ILSCO lug, but is it much nicer and takes a ¼” nut and bolt. It also has a
piercing plate on the back so that the anodized does not have to be removed
on the module.

To do an ILSCO lug properly, you must use a 10-32 nut and bolt with lock
washer. Prior to bolting to the module frame, you must remove the
non-conductive coating on the module and then apply nolox to the connection.
Everybody does it...NOT.

Bill.
