We have installed a couple of these grid-tie, battery backup "appliances".  

While the GridPoint isn't the least cost solution, it does have some nice
features to up-sell.  The stainless steel enclosure is attractive.  It is a
plug and play type deal for the installers.  The user interface, the online
front end, sets a high standard. Best of all, for every unit you buy
GridPoint makes a ~$2,500 donation to our friends at OutBack power.  (At
least right now, the GridPoint platform uses OutBack power conversion
products.)

If you have customers willing to pay the price, you can sell this product
with confidence.
