I also really like OutBack stuff, don't get me wrong. So much, in fact, 
that I'm even quoted on their Chinese advertising fliers! My only 
suggestions for the OB guys (besides the obvious need for two AC inputs) 
would be to invent a "better" control system than the Mate, and a better 
ventilated chassis for hot climate areas (which may be almost everywhere 
if current trends continue).

All, not almost all, of my OB customers have complained about the 
complexity of use of the Mate, and the need to buy so many bits and 
pieces to create a complete operating system. I would like to suggest 
that an integrated enclosure could easily be made that included a 
user-friendly replacement of the Mate, a Hub, and the PSDC. This could 
also clean up all the various cords and flotsam that one often sees in 
owner installed examples. I fully understand that OutBack designed their 
equipment as a system and that it succeeds well, and that new product 
development takes a lot of time and money but hey; with all the new 
equipment coming on the scene it would be a good idea stay in front of 
the pack.
