Xantrex 10kW Inverter [RE-wrenches]

Thanks Mark,

We've created three phase systems by stringing three smaller inverters,
but this particular project already had an oversized inverter. I'll
have to take a second look. Redesign, new submittals and new approvals
by NYSERDA Con Ed and the federal govt. was what we were really trying
to avoid. On that note, we have another project with an approx. 20 kWdc
stc system newly approved with a Xantrex 15kW unit, but it looks like
we'll be in the same boat on that project.

Anyone have a 15kW unit laying around?

Thanks

David

Hi David,

All of the PV Series are being discontinued with the new UL 1741 coming
into affect on May 7th, 2007 and are being replaced with a new updated
three phase line of inverters designed to the new standard. They will be
available starting in June. The existing PV Series can still be bought,
installed, and commissioned after this date as the UL requirement only
affects when Xantrex can manufacture a product, not when you install it.
With regards to the PV10, Xantrex has made a decision that the smallest
three phase inverter we will offer will be 30 kW. For three phase
systems smaller than 30 kW, we recommend simply stringing together
single phase GT Series inverters in three phase sets.

Cheers,

Mark

We've had a project going with the federal government for well over a
year and our design has called for a Xantrex 10kW three phase inverter.
As that inverter is being discontinued, we're searching around the
community to see if anyone happens to know where I can still get one.
It's not looking like we'll find one, but maybe we shouldn't use it
anyway since it's being discontinued. Does anyone have any knowledge of
why Xantrex is discontinuing this unit?
