Hi Jeff.

There are two products that do exactly what you are asking for:

1. Franklin Pumptec
2. Franklin Pumptec Plus
3. Coyote Well Protector

Pumptec left some things to be desired, but I see they have a Plus  
model now. Coyote has been very well reputed for many years.

My old favorite problem-solving supplier/guru sells them both:
TP Pump and Pipe
Albuquerque
