Hot water panel replacement [RE-wrenches]

Several thoughts----
--I have seen anti-freeze systems , after extended stagnation, completely
plugged with dried up fluid.
--I doubt if the 5x12 dimension is accurate.
--It is not that hard to make a new absorber. I get fin tube and headers
from AET, and braze them together in my shop. We remanufacture 4x12
Reynolds Aluminum collectors regularly, replacing the aluminum absorber with
selective surface copper.
--If the absorber just has a split, from freezing, that's an easy repair. If
it has pinholes from acidic fluid, all the tubing might be very thin or have
other places where pinholes are imminent.
