Anybody using QuickBooks Premier Contractor 2007? I'm going to, as it
is sitting here on my desk. I have been studiously advoiding it. I got
the Contractor 2007 for the Job Cost reports. You assign all expenses
to the job, materials, labor , direct job expense, overhead and track
your estimate re profitablilty etc.

Be careful on the some of the big packages. I used Viewpoint at another
electrical contractors. It works if you can devote your life to it.

On esimating I highly recommend EBM 3000 by Vision Infosoft. Links to
Epic for material pricing updates. I have customized mine with a folder
for Solar - panels, racks, inverters, batteries etc. They used to have
a trial download. As with any estimating program locating everything is
the learning curve - and building your own custom assemblies.
