Hey wait I'm MUCH more crazy then Matt! Matt's tip on sealing pressure switches is one of the best tips I've heard on here in a long time, those darn bugs do indeed foul up many a switches, save yourself the grief and seal 'em. Same is true of Windy's advice to series the contacts, I used to just use one keeping the other as a spare, once switching to series contacts they outlast even my back-up scheme. The Hudson valve is a great compromise between a standard float valve and a Cal-Val, they still do a wee bit of throttling near top-off but do shut off pretty quick by comparison and about 1/10 the price of a Cla-Val. Personally, I'm staying w/Cla-Val and added cost in return for the optimum performance, maybe I'm being anal here but I prefer to stick with crazy!
