makita charger question [RE-wrenches]

HI Jay;

I got one of those about 6 months ago. It says in the manual to not  
use it on generator power, so I took that to mean no Mod Sine either.  
I have not tried it on anything but grid, and I purposely leave the  
charger at the shop, so no one accidentally plugs it into our truck's  
inverter. The Makita charger seems to be pretty delicate. Its little  
fan is a terrible noise maker.
I'm not too impressed overall with the setup, but thats how it always  
goes for us early adopters. Now I can say honestly that I have slight  
experience with Li-Ion batteries though.
