DP -

Out of curiosity, were you able to solve the ground fault issue and if so
what was the problem?

Wrenches,

I would be remiss to not mention my admiration for SMA's fine inverters and
for the work of many outstanding people at SMA. John Berdner , via the
wrench list last week, gave me excellent advice on a ground fault issue.
Thank you John. However the tech support that I received directly from SMA,
while responsive, was not as complete as the information I received from
John thanks to the Wrench List.

Tump,

Yeah we were suckered into that. In a weak moment we sent them $175. Almost
two months later we still have not received our "Information Packet",
without this packet we cannot log into the Solar Pro web site. And now I
forget what we are supposed to get from being in this Club. When we ask the
SMA person, Ciara Jones, when we will get this "packet" ... she says soon.
So, SMA's dealer support gets worse and we have to pay for it, nice.

Does anyone else have a problem w/ manufactures asking us to pay to be
in a "club"? We have to pay to be certified, insured,& promote our own
business. Why do we have to pay to get into trade shows. We review the
newest products that WE sell & install w/ little or no worries on the
manu' part? Take for example the inverter bypass slide, oh Mr. customer
that really isn't there to work. What other vapor ware, do we have as
installers, STILL have to explain to our customers? With out us
premoting, selling & installing, would the manufactures have jobs? Cold &
struggling "Certified installer" here in Maine..... say buddy got a buck
for a cup of coffee?
