Kelly,

Absolutely. Ditto to what you said for us. In Utah we're finding that
Trojan is by far the worst with the lack of committment to a daily
price. So much so that we're having difficulty even supplying T-105s
anymore, having already abandoned the L-16s for other options. Not
that we're happy with the options, but Trojan has literally begged us
(by their actions of late) to stop using their battiers. Besides
Trojan, prices are going up across the board, flooded and sealed.
Seems as if everyone has an Aug 1st price increase scheduled.

Note to all Wrenches: Make sure that you call your distrib immediately
before you offer any price to a customer, at least for the foreseeable
future. If you have any quotes out their more than 10-14 days old,
you'll need to warn your prospects about likely price increases.

Batteries were already enough of a problem as it was. Sigh.

Wrenches,

Is anyone else finding huge sudden increases in lead-acid battery
prices? It is my understanding that the price of lead has jumped
dramatically in the last month, and will continue to go up. My
distributer is reporting that battery manufacturers are hesitantly
giving quotes good for only 24 hours. Any comments?
