Battery Experience/Suggestions for Grid Tie? [RE-wrenches]

For grid tie with battery backup check out lead calcium flooded cells. 
They are designed for floating, shallow cycling and last a very long 
time. I have a 20 old set I got from the hydro plant I work at part time 
that still work great.

Caution: They are spendy.
