interrow shading [RE-wrenches]

This table was given to me a few years ago from Jeff down at DP&W. He said he got it out of an old Arco manual so it's been around for awhile!

I have tested the spacing factors at my latitude, ~45, by looking at an existing array on a flat roof with a Pathfinder, and the results seem good. From Peter's approach, the 35 degree column seems to be consistent as well. I would love to get a report from somebody at ~40 degrees as I would think there would be a difference in the "No shading after 9AM" column for 35 and 40 degrees. I would expect it to be closer to 2.5 time the height.

I hope the formatting comes out OK, contact me off list if you can't read it and I can send the attachment.

Ryan

Formula: DISTANCE = HEIGHT x SPACING FACTOR (SF)

Latitude	For no shading after 8:00am	For no shading after 9:00am
 20deg SF=3 -
 30deg SF=5 SF=1.8
 35deg SF=6.5 SF=2.2
 40deg SF=10 SF=2.2
 45deg SF=23 SF=3
