Higher Voltage low Cost Controllers [RE-wrenches]

Ray,
You cannot series the controllers because each has to have a reference 
to battery voltage to operate.   I have a single 120 watt Mitsubishi 
module charging the 120 volt battery bank in my electric car through a 
control made by Photron many years ago.  It takes 12-24 volts in and has 
an adjustable output from 90 to 160 VDC.  Photron had some of the most 
innovative products when they were around.  If you can find one of their 
UPC1-120 controls it would do the trick for you. It was a simple relay 
control with adjustable on and off voltages.  Maybe someone reading this 
has one laying around.
