Sanyo HIT panels in off grid app [RE-wrenches]

Hello Wrenches,
Has anyone had any experience installing Sanyo HIT panels in off grid  
applications? Because of their high voltage and VOC I think they can  
only be strung together in singles in our cold winter environment  
using an MX or Blue Sky controller. That makes it a little awkward  
for getting the best (smallest) wire size for arrays located some  
distance from the power house. Any comments?
