Grummen Solar domstic hot water module [RE-wrenches]

Greetings all 
I have to remove scaling on the partially clogged Heat Exchanger on this system, I'm wondering what the best acid product would be to do this, and am wondering if just vinegar would work? If muriatic acid is the choice what would the ratio to water be? I plan on using a pump to circulate the acid through the Heat X, either a SurFlo or a plastic transfer pump.
