Sanyo Panel warranty may be VOID... [RE-wrenches]

I was in the process of installing a 10kW PV system at a residence when it came to my attention that Sanyo has amended their warranty. Sanyo warranty is now void if you install the panels in any area that may exceed the SOC rating. This means any area that has a "Monthly Average High Temperature" above the 40C or 104F.

 

Fortunately, I received this information before I installed the panels. I contacted Mr. Kaido at Sanyo and he clearly verified, "NO warranty". What Sanyo did is quietly amend section 3 with paragraph (q). They later released a letter of clarification on Jan 25th. Buyers beware.
