Bill,

I neglected to mention that the 800 amp breaker is proabaly fed by 
parrallel 500 MCM and so is already double lugged and full.  It is 2-1/2 
hours away from here so further investigation will have to wait.

One thing I did not mention is the GE Spectra breaker is adjustable.
I know it can be dialed down - but if it can be dialed up to 835 amps 
that would be an easy fix, if it is allowed on the existing bus..

  (There is an empty slot in the main panel for an additional breaker).  
I also have to confirm it is not GFI, it is not labeled as such.

I did not know there was a proposal for the opposite end but it makes 
sense to me.  Good luck with the November meeting.
