Hi....this is Walt
No...he meant 175 amp breaker. The rule is that you cant have FEEDER
breakers, to the bus, at any more than 20% over the bus size. If the
bus is 200 amp, and the breaker is 200 amp, you are limited to 40amp on
another INPUT breaker - the PV breaker. You can have a total of 240
amps of feeder breakers.
So, if you can change the main breaker to 175 amps then you have 25 amps
plus 40 amps of headroom, or 65 amps available to you to add the PV
input breaker. This is assuming that this is a residence.
