Stickers [RE-wrenches]

Don't forget about the label requirements in 690.10! If you forget those
labels there is a potential for a fire. Also 690.17, the bi-directional
warning, and a co generation label at meter and service panel. I cant
seem to find the citation in the code but what it is, is that the new
code no longer requires external ac disconnects, but instead you must
put a label that says "this electrical service is also serviced by a PV
system" in New Jersey the utilities now tolerate this and we do not have
to run external disconnects, however if you do have an external
disconnect I would recommend that sign as well in case of idiots who
cant figure it out by looking at the disconnect. I had an inspector
that required every label used to be in permanent plaque form, with nuts
and bolts (no glue), even inside a building. I ended up using
accuform.com labels that the inspector tolerated, they are rated for 6
years in direct UV exposure and can tolerate chemical spills; there is
also a good spec sheet that can be included with your permits that will
impress the inspectors (every detail counts!)

Andrew,
We use an Avery, weatherproof white label for laser printers which has 2
labels per sheet, #5526. One section is used for a one-line diagram and
the other is for 690.53 requirement.

Can anyone recommend someone who sells wetherproof, article 690
compliant
stickers for disconnects, main panels, inverters, etc...?
