Personally I think AstroPower made GREAT products.  I have often wondered if
the company's demise may perhaps have been due to corporate shenanigans at
the top; basically the suits cashing in their stock options and taking the
working capital home for themselves.  Resulting in us Wrenches left without
warranty support. 

I heard several times back then; "it's about time some people made millions
in the solar industry, they really did earn it".  Anyway, I keep a close eye
on the publicly traded PV manu's, and what's going on with respect to
insider trading.  Seems like I recognize a couple of the old AP guys taking
millions home, again...  But I'm sure they've earned it ;)
