Single vs Distributed Inverters? [RE-wrenches]

If the system needs a back up energy source I am sure
happy with the 40 kW Outback system driving 3 phase
(120-208 star)that I installed.  The advantage is only
a few inverters run if the sun is weak, from one to 12
inverters GVFX 3648.  And 13ea MX60s.  The cost of the
Outback inverter charge controller system was less
than the single inverters I priced.
