Zinc-air is an interesting battery chemistry. It differs from other
battery options in that generally, the active materials are recharged
externally (replace electrolyte/plates) rather than simply reversing the
current. But it's also not really a fuel cell... the fundamental cost is
very reasonable (zinc is cheap) and efficiency is intermediate (~40%).
Zinc air batteries yield high specific energy but low power density:
such as 200 watt-hours per kilogram and 200 watts per kilogram (peak
output). That makes it competive with lithium with respect to specific
energy, but on par with sealed lead acid batteries for power... kind of
weak.

All zinc-air battery ventures to date have suffered from the mechanical
limitation of the zinc-air chemistry: mechanical recharging (requires
centralized electrichemical reprocessing---and the performance problems:
about half the efficiency of conventional battery systems and much lower
power density than advanced batteries (lithium, NiMH).

Whether this company has anything to offer is unclear.
