Travis:
It is my understanding and experience that the generator quiet time defeats
all auto start modes except Load and LBCO. This is easy to test by setting
the parameter artificially high (or low for load start) to fool the
inverter into starting while you are there to observe it.
It is our policy to set quiet time to end no earlier than 12:00 noon. This
way the solar day does not start with a full battery bank.
Also, we have seen the SW act unpredictably if the exercise period was set
at any value deviating from the factory 30 days. Xantrex was able to
replicate this in the factory and was going to address this but I don't
know if they have as of yet.
Good question on the bulk timer colliding with the quiet time. I can't
answer this, but this too can be tested by artificial settings. Let us
know what you discover.
